You're getting an HTTP Error 500 "Internal Server Error" when you visit the files directory. That should not happen - if the directory is missing or lacks permissions, you will get an entirely different error. A 500 error means you have a misconfigured server. Perhaps mod_rewrite is installed improperly so when it is used it fails. Regardless, I would fix this first. Talk to your web host provider and ask them to diagnose and fix why files are not being served from your www.lingvini.com/files/ URL - that should just work. It looks like you are using the standard .htaccess files created by Drupal - unless you have modified them they shouldn't be a problem.
