Hey, did you find a solution to this? I'm back in the saddle again after a 3 week holiday and wil have to tackle this problem at some point.

Looking at this documentation http://www.ubercart.org/docs/api/hook_order (I'm assuming its up-to-date, Ryan?), more order states need to be taken into consideration such as 'delete' should increment the stocklevels for each of the items in the order (or perhaps it should be an option on the admin form?)

I'm still fuzzy about the best place to change the stocklevel value.
1. Do you do it as soon as the order is received and before payment is confirmed?
2. only after payment?
3. After the order has been shipped?

I think I had these questions when designing the API and thats when I decided that the API should be apart from the business logic as most shop setups will have their own rules they would like to implement.

The simple inventory manager that comes with the API was supposed to be a guide to others writing their own inventory rules not cover all situations.

Still this needs to be cleared up
