There have been other discussions regarding the customizable button texts and things... it's just something we can't deal with until we start working on 2.0. There have been fixes posted elsewhere, I think including the i18n module and modifying your settings.php. I think kulvik also posted the process for making a hack to make these buttons translatable, but I don't remember where.
