Thanks for the pics - that helps. From 03.jpg it looks like whoever set up your site renamed the Catalog vocabulary to be "Types". If that's the case, you should be able to go to admin/content/taxonomy and see "Types" show up as the name of one of the categories. Then you can click on "add terms" to add additional "Types" to select from.
