Some ideas have also come to my attention that I will be working on in the future.
Begin brain storage dump:

• Figure out how to do hierarchical or dependent attributes and options.
• Rework the relationship between product classes and node types.
• Allow conditional actions to filter returned shipping quote services (like 2nd day air, express shipping, etc.)
• In reference to VAT and discounts, give products better access to the tax rules, or vice versa.
• Create an "add arbitrary line item to orders" action.
• Catalog images need some accessibility help.
