I would like to help with the internationalization. The dynamic string translation is not solved, not even in drupal 6 core. Will try to find a best way for doing this, or give suggestions at least, but don't want to spam this forum with an i18n discussion now..
It's true that i18n is a little weird in drupal, you can translate nodes, menus, but not contact form.... with Ubercart, it's pretty the same things, you can translate products, catalog, cart, but not attributes.... It would be good to have ALL content fully translatable because, when you make a multilanguage website, you have to translate all stuff. It's a joke to see a multilanguage website with non translated attributes for example.
