Yes. One left sidebar and one main center column.
I would like a text block at the top
and a catalog block below it.

I can view the catalog block by itself OK: www.rainbowislandpearls.com/catalog
But I can't figure out how to combine it with a text node.
I tried the "panels" and "front-page" modules but they don't seem to do what I need.
