Your rant wasn't entirely intelligible, but let's just say this is a non-issue in the latest version. Feel free to read the whole thread for the initial reasons for/against, the way it all developed, and where things stand now. Be sure to check out the 1.3 release tomorrow, too.

fwiw, the footer only ever displayed itself on UC pages. If your front page was /catalog, that qualifies. I won't respond to anything else. :-/
