Thanks for refining the Pros/Cons use, it's very helpful.

I have uc_cim installed in sites/all/modules/ubercart/contrib/uc_cim, and yes, the uc_cim.js is there. The uc_cim_apply_address function is in there too.

The site root is in /dev. No special chars in the path name. I haven't had any problems with javascript/ajax anywhere else on the site.
