An additional point ... there seems to be two separate issues. First, if "Show expirations on user page" is checked in "admin/store/settings/products/edit/features", it does not display on the user's account page. Neither the user or admins can see it.

Second, the 'uc_subscribe' module might also be adding an "Expiring roles" section if it is enabled. This may ultimately be the module which has an incorrect expiration date displayed (note, the date displayed is always one month further into the future, even though the actual expiration date for the role is stored correctly in the database).
