Yeah, I'm not really interested in doing THAT much more work for Drupal 5... I'll support it with bug fixes, but if you have a specific need and want to pay for it, open a feature request on drupal.org - http://drupal.org/project/uc_gift_certificate and maybe we can arrange something.
