@jvc - Only working on the site after work and on the weekends it ended up taking about a 240 hours from concept to completion, however you know what they say about measure twice, cut once! I think second time round I could do it in half the time

@stomper - The marketing/members has been the responsibility of my partner. She is very active in the community which we cater for and I can't encourage word of mouth enough for new start-ups. I think we have about 100 items and the site has been live for 7-8 weeks, which is on track with our biggest hopes for the site. We don't market at all except for a very small budget for Ad Words which I don't think is really doing a whole lot.
