Awesome. Glad you toughed it out and are finding Ubercart easy to use. I think I might include in the install instructions what you said... I always try to enable the required modules, then the core Ubercart modules, and then any extra Ubercart modules I'll need on the site. It shouldn't be necessary, but it seems to make things go smoother when I do it that way.
