We did this with OG (Organic Groups) where users can create their own groups ("Store fronts") and since OG comes with its own "River of News" VIew that takes group id as an argument, it essentially creates a store home page for each group with little to no coding work. The only thing you have to focus on at that point is the design of the OG River of News (OG RON) page.
