This is just a quick announcement post to everyone out there to say that I've been in talks with the hosts of Drupalcamp Colorado about doing a joint Ubercamp 2.0 with them. Turns out it's a great match, and they'll be happy to have us join them with a strong showing of Ubercart. The event will be in Denver at this venue and should be quite affordable (i.e. $20ish a head).
What do we need to do to make it happen? Well, as soon as the site is open for registration, we should create accounts there and post some sessions. We don't have a firm agreement on the number of Ubercart sessions, but there will be 4 rooms, a few hundred people, and two full days of scheduled events. This means the more sessions we propose and get up there for people to vote on, the more Ubercart will be represented at this joint event.
There's the possibility of sticking around for the Monday after, as well, if we need some time for more Uberhackin' and eating. Gosh I loved that Mongolian grill in DC... We don't necessarily need to stay at the venue for the bonus day, but it's an option depending on how many people are gonna show.
Folks interested should sound off. Also, we won't call for sessions in specific topics, but I'd LOVE to see an abundance of "here's how to set this up" sessions. Everything from a simple store to complex taxes, multi-currency, multi-domain e-commerce, customizable products, marketplaces, and more. You guys are doing some incredible stuff with Ubercart, and the more we get the word out about how awesome your contributed modules are the better! If you think you'd want to come and present on a topic, let us know!
