The Livetest has finally been given a facelift. Read this news post for more details, or go straight to the Livetest (http://livetest.ubercart.org) to check it out and offer up some feedback.

The new site was tested for a while, but I'm sure some problems escaped me. Post the bugs up here if you find them. Eye-wink

Too tired to login (not verified)

Thanks for this, good to kick the new tires without having to install everything. When do you forsee alpha 8 coming out and is it pretty much the final release before beta? Just trying to figure out how much the core code will be moving over the next month. Are y'all close to a code freeze? You've gotta be close since the cart is so great already IMO. Oh, and please, please don't labor over reports -- no great software project ever waited for the reporting to be done! Only half kidding.

Hi. I was just testing the checkout at the new Livetest version. When I was about the review my order, I got the following alert:

You must select a shipping option before continuing.

The thing is that I didn't see any option to select the shipping method, nowhere. Maybe I just overlooked it. And dunno why I got no shipping quote.

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. Smiling

@Mariano: Can you tell me what product you were trying to purchase? It may have been a residual bug from the new system of checking cart shippability and restricting which panes show up based on that.

Ryan - I forgot to mention that.
I first purchased 1x cha0s Jams - Recursion Emerge (Purchase Type: CD), 1x Code Transmogrifier and 1x Uberfriend. I thought maybe it had to do with some specific product, so I just left 1x cha0s Jams - Recursion Emerge (Purchase Type: CD).
Anyway, both cart contents displayed the same shipping alert and I got no shipping quote.

A couple of minutes ago, I did some testing again. This time I wanted 1x Nunchucks. The shipping quote through UPS displayed correctly and I got no shipping method error the first time. However, when I was about to review my order I got an error since I forgot to select my state. After I corrected that piece of information, I was no longer able to get a shipping quote nor could I select any shipping method and thus once more I wasn't able to checkout.

Thanks for your help =)

I can confirm that this is an issue with my live code as well. http://shop.rifftrax.com.

If you fill out your information (but leave something "required" blank) and go to Review your order, the POST information from your shipping quote form seems to not carry through.

It seems to "remember" that you had already fulfilled that information, but "forget" it at the same time. I haven't done any digging, since the easiest thing to do is to just hit the checkout button again and this time, remember to fill in all the required fields...

Was anyone able to get rid of this problem when not filling a required field and hitting the 'review order' button? (You must select a shipping option before continuing.)

Can you post steps to reproduce on the Livetest by any chance?

First disable javascript, then :

1. Pick any product.
2. Checkout.
3. Try to caculate shipping.

"You must select a shipping option before continuing."

Yet not shipping options are given.

Is anytime you "disable JS" really considered a bug, though? Especially considering that JS is somewhat required for Ubercart, not so much Drupal. I have to admit, I haven't really seen many sites that have not used JS in some type or another. Granted, this is usually for menus and image swaps, but are a lot of people disabling JS in their browsers?

Sorry for playing Devil's Advocate - I know a lot of people are into the JS degradation thing - maybe I'm just hoping everyone will start using Firefox so they don't have to worry about malicious JS script attacks? Smiling

Spreading the word - Ubercart for president.

Of the 48,592 visits I've had to my site this year 99.07% have JavaScript enabled - assuming this is what Google Analytics means by Java Support, though they mean Java and not JavaScript.
