Howdy, folks.
I just posted up my first session proposal for Drupalcon Szeged 2008 (notice the schnazzy banner in the sidebar?) and wanted to share and get feedback. The proposal is for the third iteration of my "Introducing Ubercart" session. This is generally geared toward new users, though I'll touch briefly on the state of Drupal 6 development in here.
I'd really appreciate it if as many of you as possible could check it out, vote for the session if you think it should be presented, and provide me with feedback here or in the comments there about the session proposal. The overview is pretty specific, so feel free to nitpick any part of it. I'm also open to different names for the session, as there's a little more going on than general introductions.
I'll post more sessions later and am interested in any feedback for those... Ideally I could be Lyle's wingman on a session that demos module development best practices and conformity to coding standards. We'd provide downloads of source code and walk through writing a module that interfaces w/ the Drupal and Ubercart APIs. For this we're also open to ideas for the type of module we should make. Maybe a bulk add to cart module?
I'm going to propose at least one BoF - "Ubercart in Drupal 6." The idea will be to get as many heads together as possible brainstorming about development of the Uber Tuber and UC3P0 (still not the final codename
). It would be great to get some coding done, too!
Any other ideas? I can't wait to show off some of the excellent new Ubercart sites being produced! I bet I could have a whole mini-session just showing some of them so folks could get ideas.
