Was this information Helpful?

Hi,

I need help with the catalog. Firstly, I want the whole catalog to behave just like the one on thinkgeek.com (see http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/kitchen/8ace). Some of the features:

1. The catalog block - it shows the top levels for each category and only drills down on the current section, so if I am currently viewing the geek stationery section it will show...

Office Products
Geek
Full Systems
- Desktops
* Laptops
- Netbooks
- All
PC Components

In this example, I am on the laptops page so its highlighted. Is this sort of catalog possible? If so, I need it themed for me.

2. I want an _all_ page, which shows all products in all sub pages of the current expanded menu section. I assume this can be done with a "all" taxonomy term, but if it can be done prgramatically, easily, I would prefer it.

If this is possible please contact me with quotes.

Thanks,
Paul.

taxonomy menu might do it

Hi Paul, I think taxonomy menu might do most, if not all, of what you need in your catalog block. I think it has config options as to when to show / hide the selected term, etc.

And, yes, your 'all' page should be a taxonomy top level link, I think, to either the core UC catalog or to a view that takes taxonomy tid as a parameter.
