I'm interested to see what it would take (provide a quote) to offer an ability to create coupons for free shipping. I.e. the coupon amount is updated before and after shipping quotes and is equal to the shipping quote.

Is it even possible? I know a lot of people would benefit from this -- I may have a client that's willing to pay some money for it. If people have thoughts on how this might be done, I might be able to tackle this but I'm fairly new to Drupal/Ubercart but do know my PHP.

same problem

I am having the same problem. Everything free shipping is available either for an entire product line for all users to your site (free shipping quote module) or it's been set-up using flat rate shipping and doing a conditional action etc..

One of my clients wants to do a big social media campaign and they need free shipping when users enter the coupon code that's only available from "liking" their page.

I am completely frustrated, because in theory this seems like it really should be simple. They also use shipping quotes by weight- and NOT flat rate shipping. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

We also want customers to SEE they are getting a discount of free shipping- and not just have something that zero's out the shipping quote and makes it go away. We want them to see what they would have spent on shipping, and that they are getting it FREE.
