A number of people have expressed willingness to contribute financially to the further development of Authorize.net CIM support for Ubercart. If you are unfamiliar with CIM, customer information manager allows your customers to store payment profiles with Authorize.net so they can quickly check out on your website without having to re-enter credit card information. CC info is stored at Authorize.net, not on your website.

The current core UC support for CIM is rather strange IMO - each order is created as a new payment profile, which means customers have to re-enter their payment information each time anyway, and auth.net only supports up to 10 payment profiles per user.

The project here http://drupal.org/project/uc_cim provides a solution for allowing users to edit their financial information through the site and store payment profiles appropriately, but it has a number of outstanding issues that need further development and clean up. If you are interested in Auth.net CIM and allowing your customers to pay with stored CC profiles, please post here with how much you are willing to contribute.

If you are a developer that is willing to work on this project, please let us know what your experience with UC is and at what point you'd be willing to work on it.

I have contacted several others who already expressed interest in contributing and will report back later on a running total.

Personal contribution: $250 down / $250 on completion. Up to $400-500 additional depending on features/polish.

Seems to be some interest and momentum gathering on drupal forums. If interested please check out the following threads on discussion

Visit http://drupal.org/node/970378 - new module for bringing authorize.net modules together

Re: Authorize.net CIM development (stored payment profiles) and

I am interested in being involved in getting this developed (and some funding would certainly help Smiling ), although I am coming from a slightly different angle. I would like to get some of the features that uc_cim has out into more generic modules not tied to any payment gateway.

As referenced above I have started the project uc_authnet to refactor Auth.net gateway code from uc_authorizenet, uc_cim and uc_echecknet. The features like charging an order to a stored profile that is not limited to just CIM I would like to integrate with uc_recurring.
