When you uncheck the "Product and its derivatives are shippable" box you get an error saying Dimensions are required for custom packaging. Shouldn't it skip this when the box is unchecked? I know I can select another Package type, but it just adds another step to adding a product.

+1 to that idea, or at least not specifying "custom packaging" by default.
I guess I'll change the default value. If some product feature makes a version shippable again, you still need dimensions for the custom package.
