This morning I popped RC4 over RC2 on my development server and could not access the site at all, rolled back for now.
The box is stock Debian 3.1 (sarge), Apache/2.0.54 (Debian GNU/Linux) PHP/4.3.10-22 and mysql Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.11, all of it running under Vmware.
I don't know why the WSOD occurred, but I suspect a piece of version 5 SQL may have crept in. This server version is rather old I agree and upgrades to the production boxes are planned for later this year, but D5 is supposed to be compatible.
RC4 installed over RC2 gives WSOD

Check your PHP error logs. I had an idea of what might be causing the problem, but then I looked at the code and figured that couldn't be the case. I haven't been able to reproduce this problem so I'm even less certain of what might be wrong. That said, it's probably the product kit module because someone else had a problem with it: http://www.ubercart.org/forum/bug_reports/4433/problems_rc4
