I just started using drupal and ubercart a couple of months ago. Along the way I have been relying on a combination of the official documentation, and when that fails the forums, which can be a time consuming process in which I find out that there is a different way of doing things than what the documentation said.

Is there a way to submit changes to the documentation?

ie. on page http://www.ubercart.org/docs/user/10966/selling_files

At the bottom of the selling files page it says
"From here it is up to you to set up a workflow configuration that will move the order into the correct status once a customer has paid". The words "workflow configuration" link to a section in the ubercart 1.x documentation about workflow-ng. confusing. I'm still trying to work out the correct way to do this. I think it is through conditional actions now...

in that same section it says to activate the "Notify module". looked all over for a notify module but wasn't able to find one.

Re: inaccurate and out of date information in documentation

Thanks for digging that up! We haven't really had a chance to review all the nooks and crannies of the 2.x docs for errors. However, any registered user on this site can make changes to documentation. I think the one hitch is the use of tags that aren't allowed in documentation pages, so I suppose we'll need to maintain an official documentation team to take care of those pages. For the time being, I've granted you that role so you could nail these issues if you're up for it.

Re: Re: inaccurate and out of date information in documentation

I'd be happy to help edit the documentation as i find inaccuracies. I think I still need permissions to edit the actual documentation though.

I am able to edit table of contents pages, ie. http://www.ubercart.org/docs/user/10959/creating_products_and_catalog

But when I go to the Selling Files page there are no View/Edit buttons.

tried typing the url manualy, http://www.ubercart.org/node/10966/edit

I get,

Re: Re: Re: inaccurate and out of date information in documentat

My apologies. I had to configure a new Documentation input format and make sure the doc team role had it. I updated that page, but other pages using "Full HTML" will need to be converted the "Documentation". If you run into any, just ping me in a PM and I'll switch 'em.
