Well... after adding in further Ubercart integration with Workflow-ng yesterday, I decided to spend a little bit of today writing some documentation on what is possible with the system. It's really quite a flexible system that will best serve such a diverse crowd of users. When certain events happen (for example, a customer completes checkout), you can perform some actions based on a set of conditions (for example, give them the role of "power buyer" if their order total was over $100).

So, what I've done is revise the existing documentation and add a new section of the User's Guide for setting up automated order workflow. I also added a category in the contributions directory for workflow configurations. The module provides an import/export feature that will let you share the configurations you come up with.

Check it out and post your ideas for further documentation here. I think we could totally use some basic tutorial w/ screenshots showing how to setup a workflow configuration, but it's not something I have time for right now.
