    Heya folks, happy new year! I just noticed that drupal posted information about Drupalcon 2008, in Boston! Its March 3-6 (6th is my B'day!) It'd be awesome to get Lyle and Ryan here, and many of the other ubercart devs. Anyone else thinking about going?

I'll see what we can do as well -- I'm waiting to get more information about the convention before getting the decisions made. However, it'd be really cool if at least one of you guys could do a presentation. Although, there are quite a few of us who've been working on Ubercart for the last few months and could also give an adequate presentation. But it'd be cool for people to meet the leaders

bump. anyone else planning on going? I'd really like to get together a BoF group and perhaps even talk about the state of ecommerce in drupal. Ryan: how much do you need to come?

Ryan, did you give a presentation at Barcelona? Either way, I'm sure you'd get a great turnout for a presentation up at Boston on Ubercart. Have you seen the chip-in pages that other people have posted such as http://drupal4hu.com/node/108 ? If you can get away from work and would like to go, I have to imagine the Ubercart community would be glad to pitch in and make that happen.

Yeah, I got to present 3 sessions in Barcelona, and I did get an e-mail requesting my presence for the site building track to demo setting up an e-commerce site using Ubercart. We really haven't discussed this in office, so I'll have to get back later. I do appreciate the support from you guys (and thought it was awesome to get the invite from the crew in charge of the site building track).

I think it's pretty important to have an Ubercart talk or two at Drupalcon. e-Commerce has a session. I wouldn't want people to start off on the wrong foot for lack of information

I have experience in giving presentations (Linuxfest Northwest, etc) and could probably bring something together. It'd be really good if we have two people talking together. I'll be down doing a technical training on the drupal theme system this week. I probably will have some time then.

We've got till next Monday to nail it down, but as things stand right now it doesn't look like I'll be showing up. I'd absolutely love for someone or a partnership to present even just a basic Ubercart installation and setup time. Anything on an overhead projector showing how simple it is to get going would be awesome. I'm more than happy to help develop an outline and content for the session, and I'd love to forward someone literature to pass out.

I'm here in LA with the Lullabot folks, and webchick highly suggested that we get at least something posted on the conference page. I'm working on the post right now, but would like to know if anyone else is interested in presenting as well with me. I'm in the ubercart IRC channel on irc.freenode.net |

I won't be coming unless someone pays me... out of vacation time, and I'll hopefully be working on converting our main site over to Ubercart about the same time. If you're heading, though, it might be cool to send some promotional material to be passed out/hung up.
My little department here is starting to hint around at getting a trip sponsored. We'll see, but I think it would be fun.
Have you guys come to a decision about attending? I noticed the deadline for session proposals is 11 Feb, so there's not much time left to get something in...
