I run several e-commerce websites on the osCommerce platform and have been searching for an alternative that offers a better framework for further development. I found this project earlier today while doing some research on quickbooks and oscommerce integration at the Intuit Developer site. I hope this will become my new home and I can finally dump OSC. With that said, I have a few questions:

One of my sites has about 400,000 products currently. Has anyone experienced loading a large volume of parts? Are there any issues that I might run into?

Hey Ryan, welcome to the forums. We've recently made some tweaks to the product module to address scalability issues, but I don't know who to direct you to for a catalog of that size. You might try PMing kulvik w/ this post URL to see if he has any feedback.

Other than that, I think you'll run into normal Drupal scalability issues. It might be handy to Google search some keywords related to your question with site:drupal.org in the keyword list to have Google scour Drupal.org for more info. I know stuff gets posted there regularly dealing with large sites.
