Hi Folks,

I'm having a problem where credit card information is being asked for twice on the checkout page. Once under "Payment Method" fieldset and again under the "Payment Information" fieldset.

I'm a little lost in the many settings (aside: I'm grateful for the many settings).

Has anyone else seen this?

Re: credit card info asked for twice?

Check out the comments in the Authorize.Net CIM module's page... the payment information pane is coming from that. I think chadcrew has recently advised someone there on the same issue. Smiling

THANKS

Thanks for that, and while I'm at it, thanks also for the pointer to the re-order module in a previous thread.

5) Checkout Panes (admin/store/settings/checkout/edit/panes):
You have a choice! Either:

A) Disable the Payment Method and Billing Information panes, and enable Payment Information pane.

The Payment Information pane is a new pane defined in this module that allows
customers to select a credit card they used previously or enter a new
credit card and billing address. This is one of the key benefits of using the CIM system.

The main drawback to using this new pane is that it currently does not support
an order total preview. This may be added soon (your help is welcome!) or you
can display the order total preview in the Cart Contents pane like I do currently.

or

B) Leave the Payment Method and Billing Information panes enabled, and disable Payment Information pane.

With this choice you get to keep the standard Ubercart checkout interface,
with CIM just working in the background. While your users won't be able to
select previously used credit cards, store admins will be able to charge
customers after checkout (useful for taking pre-orders that you won't
charge for until you ship, supporting recurring payments, taking follow-up
orders by phone...). You also gain the ability to process refunds from
within Ubercart.
