Wondering if this is possible with the Product Kit module - or am I on my own.

I have a client who is selling kits (literally boxes with a bunch of parts in them). And wants to put up an image of the box that when you mouse over the compartments in the box, a detail pops up with:

1. a closeup image of the part
2. a short description
3. a link to order "replacement parts"

Doing this myself in php/javascript would be easy, but I wondered if there was a solution out there in a module somewhere before I go hacking up my drupal installation...

Did you find a solution to the popup issue

Hello

I have a very similar issue. The client has a product which can be sold in kit components. so, the kit components are color coded in a full image of the product. When you roll over the component, an info window should pop up. this is in Ubercart, product page.

Love to know how you solved this issue.

Well - that was quite some time ago. I ended up coming up with my own solution from what I remember. I haven't touched this site since then.

I think the process is that I included an image map for each kit image. When you click on a item/product in the kit, javascript used AJAX to load a stripped down product page into a popup. Works pretty well.
