Just got done setting up Drupal+UC to sell software. Getting all the parts in place to create keys, link them to accounts, and then have the software auth to it was a huge pain.
A module that provided the same functionality would be absolutely amazing, and I would love to help someone build one (I don't know how to). The system works but I'd rather it be out as a module with many people milling over the code looking at bugs and security issues.
