the system is -

1) a user (or representative, etc) creates the product overview. with a buy it now/add to cart link.
2) Once that products been bought, the user that created the details gets paid a commission, but also
3) An email gets sent to the distributor, along with a commision.

think of it as, a store sets up an account on the site, then individual users representing the store sign up, specify which store there prodcucts are located at, then when a product is sold, the representative and the store gets paid.

Does anybody have any ideas how this can be done?

As long as the user(representative) is registered you can test the products ordered by who added them. Where you planning on paying them right away for each order or have a minimum amount? $50 or more $100 or more??

i was planning on making payments once a week.

getting a user to sign up and create products, i can do. they get notified when they get an order, then I pay them a %/commission of what they earn,

but I also need to pay a commission to the actually store, or the holder of the product, the place where the item will be shipped from, and send them a notification of the order so they can ship it.

I basically need a way to assign users (representatives) to the store they represent, and then to automatically calculate the commission to be payed to both the representative and the store, not just the representative, and send out notifications to both.
