I can't really call this a bug, because everything's working properly, but I wanted to suggest an idea for a different layout to Ubercart's main admin screen.

(I'm running Ubercart for Drupal 6.x.)

I've attached two screenshots, one of Ubercart's current admin menu and one of CiviCRM's admin menu, to highlight some differences. In both Firefox and IE, using the Garland theme with one sidebar, the Store Administration page is twice as wide as my screen and requires a lot of scrolling.

CiviCRM's admin menu tackles a large amount of information in a different manner, and I think the results are excellent. Sections are closed by default; when the user clicks on a section to expand it, slightly more information on each sub-item is shown. See screenshot for an example.

I can't justify calling this high-priority, but it'd be a lovely improvement for my catalog admins.

Re: Idea for layout change to store admin screen

Thanks for the screenshots. You might alleviate the problem of Ubercart's a little by hiding menu item descriptions, but that has its own drawbacks. Sticking out tongue I like CiviCRM's, and I wouldn't even mind just doing away with the sub-menu listings altogether. I don't use that for navigation anyways since discovering Administration Menu. Perhaps a more helpful dashboard of common links and reports if the reports module is enabled could replace it. Puzzled
