Can we get two new display types added, for attributes, please?
1) UPLOAD file
Example: Joe Blogg want to order 100 namebadges so he clicks on the Namebadge product and uploads a list of names
Example: Uncle Bob orders a t-shirt for Aunty Helen and uploads a photo to be printed on it
The file/s then get linked to the order
2) Choose from GALLERY
Pop up a gallery for a user to select a picture or product to add to the main product
Example: Rangi Smith chooses a trophy and wants a clipart rugby player engraved on it
The image or product gets linked to the order and price is adjusted if neccessary.
I know that UC Node Checkout and Option Image (not available for 6.x) can be used to provide some of this functionality. I'm thinking that a more elegant solution can be found.
I'm working on a better website for the trophy shop I work for (currently edited with Frontpage). I've looked at Zen Cart, E107+ZoGo, and Joomla + VirtueMart and found that Drupal+Ubercart is my CMS of choice. This is because
- I found it quick to get a workable website
- it is easy to control user access to nodes and menus
- modules are easy to install
- Ubercart has nice order tracking
Thank you for the hours and hours and hours of work spent developing Drupal/Ubercart.
