Re: Re: A Candle Website

Well done, nice site, congrats! I also liked your "Add to cart" -button very much. However, in my opinion, you should use the same nice button through the entire check out process! Then it's easy for the clients to continue and hand out their credit card.

You are using secure "https" -connection in the check out -process. Great, but you need to get a security certificate (now clients are getting an ugly warning message and many of them are running away w/o doing any business)

During check out, you should get rid of all unnecessary side blocks & links. Help clients to focus only to easy check out, nothing else.

Site colors are nice, but the topic is candles... candles are a "warm" thing, but blue as a color is quite opposite?

Just my 2 centimos from Sunny Spain Smiling

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into these things Monday.

What browser did you use? I bought ssl and installed it already, otherwise https would not do anything at all?

FireFox

I'm using FireFox 3 on Ubuntu Linux:
* Ubuntu 8.04
* Firefox 3.0.8

Maybe you need to get a "wildcard" security certificate (or configure Apache to redirect only to one domain) to make sure both URL's work without any browser warnings? (with & w/o the "www" part in URL)

Re: FireFox

I got the same error in firefox after I cleared everything, but not in any other browser. I re-installed the cert and ca-bundle and I do not get the warning anymore. Hopefully that fixed it. I never had the problem in IE at all. I mostly use firefox, but I had already added an exception for this domin from when I used a self signed cert, so I never saw the issue with the real cert.

The secure pages module is set with a base url for ssl to be non-www. The only way a user should get www on https is if they type it in.

thanks

Re: FireFox

The buttons are not mine:

but they are indeed nice, the PSD file is available so it's realy easy to edit them.

Started with the zen theme

Re: A Candle Website

Well done, I like the buttons, and the lightweight design. Its always nice to see sites come in under 100k.
