This site just went live about a month ago. www.ElectronicThinking.com helps you learn about electronics, programming, and precision metalwork as a hobby or to create and market your own inventions.

We are using Ubercart to manage a catalog of about 530 electronic components and there are still many more to be added. We will also carry a full line of metric hardware, springs, and some tools.

The instructional videos will be coming soon in about a month and should just fit right in. The one thing I am still waiting on is recurring payments. The last time I checked, this was almost ready and will be needed to offer monthly subscriptions to the educational videos.

Anyway, I hope you all like it. Check out the blog where I have a post that talks about taking pictures for the site and some of the problems that I encountered. Also instead of using the secure pages module, I redirect all traffic to https. If you have an OpenId account, you can use it to sign in.

Regards,
Wahid

Re: Electronic Thinking | Technical skills for practical people

Congrats on the release! I like the look of the site and the content. Growing up, my brother and I were regulars at Radio Shack where we'd be components to make little homemade shoebox robots. I hope my kids follow in my footsteps. Smiling

I don't suppose you had a 65-in-1 Electronic Project Kit? That was one of our favorite toys. It often got turned into the console of our make believe spaceship. Cool
