We've had a lot of fun building with Drupal and Ubercart. We sell customised products and have found the combination of Ubercart with Views very useful. As well as the standard product catalogue, customers can buy from our photo gallery:-

Because we take customised orders we needed a text area as an attribute option. See http://www.ubercart.org/issue/8356/attribute_textarea for the patch that we used.
Ubercart doesn't have an "Upload File" attribute. We solved this by using the Content Profile module. So users can upload artwork to their account for us to use. Because it is on their account we are able to refer to it for repeat orders. We also use it to upload proofs of work for customer approval.
