Finally after a lot of struggle, I have the Site Up.

Please Visit http://www.vingowine.com

This are the things that might excite a ubercart user

1) Fedex Module with packaging. Well I have got Fedex Running. (I will surely post a module for the community soon, Right now its mostly customized for our site)

2) Simple Inventory . Well i didnt wanna have a competition on the Inventory thing, but my module works, So iam using it

3) Discounts, Another module which i had to write myself.

4) Some basic theming (Well Iam no designer, Even if iam am bad at it.)

I require some feedback on how the whole thing looks like guys

Overall I think it looks great.

I would change the item names in your catalog display so they are left-justified instead of centered. This is just my personal taste.

I really like the red/orange color theme of the header and footer.

I would work on the catalog background colors a little though (and the side bar bg colors). I think there is too much gray. Try to use soemthing that matches the site more and is more lively, but not distracting. Just my .02

Nice job though Smiling

I will be adding some coupons this weekend, for some ubercart enthusiasts..

We have around 1200 products and this would be a great test for ubercart (and drupal too..)

Right now everything looks smooth, while i wait for my first ubercart order

Hey, this website looks great! I was especially impressed w/ the Guided Search... very nifty indeed. Is this a custom job you cooked up or something available w/ a current taxonomy module? Would be very interested to replicate it on one of our restaurant equipment sites where it can be quite difficult to find the right product.

Check faceted_search
Their latest code is all good, the only problem is there with taxonomy facet (which was bringing the results in alphabetical order). I fixed to get the order wih highest number of products in it.

I noticed a couple of typos on the site "Shippig Policy", "merchadise" on the policy page, "donot" on the shipping calculator page. You might want to run your site's text through a spell checker to catch other typos (do you have FireFox 2?). Also, the states you mention that you can't ship to on the shipping page aren't the same as the ones shipping calculator and policies. In particular, can I get wine in my home state of Indiana or not? Puzzled You'll need to clarify that for customers.

Sharp Eyed,

This is the problem,
There is a lot of regulation on Wine Shipping. (Fighting this is very hard) and also lot of confusion on it. Check http://shipcompliantblog.com/blog/2006/07/ . Fedex does not take shippings for certain states from us(And Indiana too). Forget UPS in this case. UPS people have a great habit of breaking our Wine bottles

I fixed both the pages now.

Cosmo great site! Still a couple of really small things.

1) your secondary links are saying home so its saying home twice when you click on shipping or shipping calculator.

2) Also, still need the spell check for the policies page.

now here are some design opinions I have. Overall its a really nice site. However I would put the guided search before the search box. The reason being, and i could be wrong on this, is that you i think most people know what they want, and they want to see your choices based on region, country, etc and not by search.

Also FYI, your newsletter module isn't set to work if your an anonymous user.

Other than that. amazingly well done. Great customs.

Adding to the whole Cart system , I have the Google checkout integrated at level 2.

So what is with level 2:

1) Integrate the ordering, invoices with Google checkout
2) Integrate shipping with google checkout. It will pickup my quotes for the checkout.
3) Some kind of tax integration. (Some crude way of doing it.)

People who wanna play around with it need to buy some wine Laughing out loud

Awesome! Glad to hear it isn't impossible to integrate Google Checkout. Sticking out tongue Is it possible for this to be used by others, or did you have to make it fairly specific to your site?

Some small stuff like the quotes. I tried to make it as much as integratable.

Right now i will be working on the uc_fedex module for release , and then will have the google checkout pretty soon. (A day or two..)

The other inventory discussion is still continuing here.

I couldn't get you simple inventory to work Sad What was your final solution to decrementing inventory and getting it to work?

As you pointed iut,

The simpleinventory works well for credit card payments, but will not work if i use external checkout like google checkout.

I have changed a fesw stuff in these modules to get it properly integrated with my inventory . Couple of lines added into each of the modules
