Hello fellow Ubercarter's!! I have recently brought a new venture live using Drupal and Ubercart. It is still a work in progress but the core functionality is all there. We are dedicated to providing an environment where you can show off and pamper your litter puppy with products from top harnessed dog cloth manufacturers.

I would love to hear what the community has to say about our site. Any suggestions/comments/problems, we are all ears!

Thanks!

Nick

Re: BellasSparkle.com - Dog Fashion, Function and Fun!

hah! Fun site, and it looks really nice. If I ever get a dog, it'll be a mini-dachsund, though I can't say I'll sparkle him/her up. Eye-wink

I might recommend adjusting your catalog category images so that they're all a uniform height. This will help the alignment when viewing the catalog page. Other than that, keep up the great work!

Nice One Nick Absolutely

Nice One Nick
Absolutely love the black fleece hoodie. Will send the link to my wifeys brother.

As an extra bit of marketing for you, if this is your own venture, get some Enviro-friendly made stuff there, organic cottons etc. That way, you are also appealing to another crowd.
A bit of info on the materials would be nice, and things like "Easy Wash/care fabric" if they are. Replace the harness charts images with real text also.

The "View bag" is a nice touch top right too.

Oh, and consider "pimpmymutt.com" as an extra url redirect to your site (available at time of writing) heh heh... Ok, this last one is a silly suggestion.

Another ubercart victory. Well done =)

Thanks!

Awesome, thanks for the comments! I will be sure to add some content pertaining to our materials and care instructions; that is something we most definitely need.

I also agree with Ryan, I have to get a better shot of the hoodies (which I love too!) for our category image so we can get everything looking uniform in height.

Thanks again!

Nick

Awesome Job!

Hi Nick,

Great job with the site. I'm a new user to ubercart and also drupal. I am setting up a ecommerce remembrance bracelet store for my uncle. I just have one question. When you are looking at a product, and you click on the image to get a closer look the whole screen goes black and the pic come up in the middle of the browser. Is there a drupal module or some javascript that you used to make that happen? I was trying to figure out how to do the same on my site.

Thanks,

Rich

Re: Awesome Job!

That's the Thickbox module. I think all you have to do is install the module.

Oh yeah, and great site!

Hey all... I did not add the "Check out these dog treats" line in this post??

I don't seem to be able to edit it either. Do we have spammers on the forum??

Thanks.

Nick

Google Checkout

Hi Nick,

I love your site. Good job. I wanted to order a bowtie and chose the size with the popup but when I went to checkout, the size was not a part of the order.

I am a Drupal developer and have a client with the exact same problem. They are a online jewelry store and most products have attributes like ring size, etc. None of these attributes ever get into the Google order form.

How do you handle this when the order is processed? I have posted several issues in the Ubercart support forum but have not got a response.

Hi dcrellen, Thank you! I do

Hi dcrellen,

Thank you! I do see what you are saying. Although Google checkout is not displaying the product attribute on the checkout page the ubercart order is preserving them. Therefore we are able to accurately fulfill the order but I agree it is a bit misleading.

I have not dug very deep into a solution but I am interested if anyone has figured this out?

Thanks.

Nick
