I have installed drupal & uber cart modules at my site.
But unable to create a store/catalog folder . Does any one knows wheer I am getting wrong.

This is really up to you and your Drupal configuration. If you want to use the default catalog listing provided by Ubercart, be sure to enable the Catalog module.
The Catalog module should create that page on its own when it is enabled. The catalog is also a vocabulary that you can add taxonomy terms to, which your products will go in when they are created. I think the catalog page will appear even if there are no products in it, but I'm not 100% sure of that.
