We want to sell a subscription to our site that will allow the downloading of all download files for a period of time, without attaching every file to the product.

I have found documentation that suggests that we can enable all files by using "*" or ".*" as the download file name but we get an error "invalid directory or file name"

If i specifically select a file(s) in the product's feature list (feature also includes role assignment) then it works.

The problem is we want the buyer to have access to 100+ files which change from time to time.

Can any one helP

Thanks

Mike

Product purchase allows download of all files for 1 year

Thanks to Uberchic for your suggestion on using roles. I have tried that. Product purchase does change a role(that allows downloads) for the year, but no files show for download ("no downloads found") unless I also add each download file as a feature to my product.

Sorry, yeah, I deleted that after re-reading your post because I realized I needed to think about this more, and what I was really about to suggest was something maybe more like site access, I suppose, with all the file downloads in one area of the site or something. It wasn't a great idea either, so I just deleted it all, and thought I'd think about it and come back to this later. Sorry I'm not more help, see if thinking about site access gets you anywhere, but probably also not.

No answer?

essentially if you grant a user permission to download from a directory for a given amount of time using uc_files there's no way to keep their file listed refreshed when the admin adds files to that directory? Seems kinda silly.

Has anyone figured out a solution to this? It's crunch time, and my backup option for this functionality is too sloppy for me to be excited about.
