Here's the deal: My store has top-level categories, which lead to second-level categories, which lead to product listings.

Example of top-level categories: Basketball, Baseball, Accessories
Example of second-level categories for Basketball are: Clothes, Balls, Accessories
Clicking Clothes would list shirts, hats, pants, etc.

My question is, let's say that I don't have any 'Accessories' under the Basketball category, and I'd instead like to link 'Accessories' to the top-level 'Accessories' category.

I am unable to do this.
The Accessories second-level category doesn't even dynamically display because there aren't any products associated with it. Even if I could get it to display, how would I be able to link that back to the 'Accessories' master category?

Thanks,
Chum

not sure i understand fully but...

if the parent category: "basketball" does not have any child elements that fall into the sub category of: "accesories" then why would you create a sub category for it called "accessories"?

I would setup like so in taxonomy
Basketball
+ Clothes
+ Shirts
+ Hats
+ Pants
+ Balls

Baseball
+ Clothes
+ Shirts
+ Hats
+ Pants
+ Bats
+ Type A
+ Type B
+ Balls

Accesories
+ T1
+ T1-a
+ T1-b
+ T1-c
+ T2

etc

To Force Accesories to display under Basketball i think you have to add an item into the category but im sure there is somewhere in ubercart store config/catalog where you can overide this.

But im still puzzled why youd want an accesories link under basketball when its never going to contain any content?

ps, the default editor used in this forum is rubbish!
