Hi,

I am looking for a module that will enable me to manage my inventory all in one place. Currently, I am having to go into each item through the catalogue, edit it and change stock levels that way. It's a very long winded way of doing it.

Is there a module that pulls all the stock levels form the whole store, allows me to filter using the taxonomy categories that the store uses and then allows me to update the stock levels?

It woud be so much easier.

Any help would be appreciated, as it really is starting to put me off ubercart now. Maybe it's already there, and I am just missing it...

Either way, please help!!!

Cheers
Gavin.

I actually have something that does something along those lines, but not sure if I can release it. I'll check and report back. If it goes a couple of days without a response, bug me.

Inventory Management

I also am looking for a better inventory management system - I have uc_attribute_stock_filter which allows me to add inventory... But I will eventually have so many products that I hope to be able to utilize a stock sheet of some sort to go down the list and update the inventory

Thank you kindly for any assistance

Re: Inventory Management

So Glad I'm not the only one. I'm finding it very tedious. I'm surprised there isn't a 'all in one place, inventry management' tool out of the box.

@digitalfrontiersmedia: Any news?

Re: Re: Inventory Management

sorry, I didn't have a chance to check. Might not be until Tuesday that I get an answer. Then if it's okay to release, I might need to make some adjustments before adding here.

I am also looking for inventory control for a shoe store which will need inventory for each size of shoe. This is not possible in either version of UberCart is it???

Okay, I've gotten word that the module can be released but needs to be cleaned up first. I will try to do this next week. Incidentally, it is for D5-UC1 installations.

Well, I don't have to supply it at all. The idea here is that the code seems similar to what is being requested. If after cleaning up the D5 version you want to port it to D6, it will be available to you to do so.

Re: Re: PepeMty wrote:No

I am cursing the day I decided on D6 and UC2. I asked on here (or the D site, can't actually remember now) which versions were best to go for and was told D6 and UC2. Man, was that wrong advice. My own fault for not doing research myself into the available modules and support.

I am going to add about 200 products to a site in a few weeks and the idea of having to do them one at a time is sickening.

I can't even find a import module for UC2, which would be a good start.

How much would I be looking at to get this ported over to D6, UC2 for me personally? I am not a programmer, so am unabel to port it myself.

@ Super Squirrel If what you

@ Super Squirrel

If what you are looking for is how to mass load your products into the site take a look to the node import module: http://drupal.org/project/node_import

This thread is for advanced Inventory Management...

I hadn't noticed that link beofre, thanks I will take a look, as importing is also something I require and couldn't find anything for UC2. Hopefully this will fit it.

@ super squirrel LOL!!!

@ super squirrel

LOL!!! Indeed, you started the thread... sorry 'bout that.

Anyway, I used that node_import module, on a Drupal 5 site, to import 3600+ products, SKUs and descriptions (no price since the site is for asking quotes only) and it worked like a charm.

All the products, divided among 4 manufacturers, took me around one hour - one hour and 15 minutes (including the Excel to CSV conversion). Eye-wink

Just get ready for some reading first.

Re: Inventory management on Drupal 6 and Ubercart 2?

So, the only attribute SKU inventory control option there is for UC2 is http://drupal.org/project/uc_out_of_stock ???

This module seems to work, but is very limited in how it displays out of stock to the user. The user has to select the attribute first, then the add to cart button is switched to out of stock text. It would be nice to have some other visual notification before the attributes are selected.

digitalfrontiersmedia, please do release your module. Then, as you say, someone can build on it for a UC 2 version.
Thank you.

Inventory management solution

Hi all --

I see that this problem has still not been resolved? You might want to check out Yobiz eRetail IPS. It provides inventory management, pick-and-pack, and ship with quickbooks integration. Check it out at http://eretail.yobiz.com/ips and let me know what you think! It's still free while we test out the features.

Thanks!
