Are contributed mods available in the Ubercart Contributions section 2.x compliant ?
Will they work with Uber 2.x ?

Depends on the contribution - look at the page for the contribution and it will say what version of Ubercart it works with. Most new contributions are being released on drupal.org, so look there as well. If you find a contribution that you need that has not yet been ported, it's not too much work to port it yourself, or pretty cheap to have someone do it for you.
