Hi Guys

I am loving ubercart so far, but I want to make the shipping calculator do the following:

Because the items are so light (jewellery)

Flatrate Locally (country = Australia) = $AUD Zero (Free)
Flaterate Internationally = $AUD $amount

How do I go about setting this up?

It may be obvious to others , but I dont know where to start

Free domestic shipping

I'm wondering the same thing. My first thought was to set up a workflow-ng rule configuration to check the billing state and then remove any shipping charges if it were domestic (the US), but I'm not sure it will work or if it's the "right way" to go. Well see...

Sam, have you figured this out?

Here's How I Did It

In a Drupal 5.21, Ubercart 5.x-1.0 setup, here's how I did it:

  1. Setup Flat rates for each shipping destination - In my case, Domestic, Canadian, International at /admin/store/settings/quotes/methods/flatrate (Picture 98.png)
  2. Add a new Rule Configuration for each Event for your Flat rates at admin/workflow-ng/configurations/0/add (Picture 99.png)
    1. Add a Condition : "Are we shipping to [country]?" (Picture 100.png)
    2. Add an Action : Order > Fetch a shipping quote (Picture 101.png)

Re: Here's How I Did It

That is how I usually do it. For example, one client has regular weight quote shipping for all retail/affiliate accounts. They also have wholesale and international- so needed different shipping for those. For wholesale, it checks the users ROLE and if their role has wholesale as one of them- they are then quoted the flat rate shipping amount we set up for wholesale orders. For international- it checks the shipping location, and if it comes up as anywhere outside of the United States, then it displays the flat rate quote for international shipping. It seems to work really well. Only complaint is trying to figure out a way to have a coupon give free shipping based on the rate-quote method- obviously it's easy to do with flat rate- but with weight quote and only being able to enter a percentage or a dollar amount for the coupons- it's not working.
