Hi there,

I'm using UC1, I've been doing some importing of products lately, I'm fairly impressed with the ease of that. One thing that has been bugging me though is that there are no images for these products, or images url options. I could probably create a custom field called image url and integrate it into my theme but that seems like a lot of work.

So for now, I was wondering if there's a way I can set a default image for all products that don't have an image? 250+ products on my website with the image title n/a doesn't look very good lol.

I did notice a few spots when importing like... image fid: is there a way I could set the fid: or something to show an default image?

This is only an issue for my imported products. Any help on this would be awesome.

Thanks,
Justin

Re: Default Image for products with No Images?

In D6/UC2, you can set a default image at admin/content/node-type/product/fields/field_image_cache
In D5/UC1, you could probably do this through SQL from phpmyadmin

If you're building a site, I would strongly recommend going with D6/UC2 at this time.

Hmm

SQL eh? Any chance you could enlighten me further?

Is the Image FID (field_image_cache) an option in the field mapping?
Could I somehow set that so it shows my placeholder image? I only need the images to show up on the freshly imported products, the rest of the products are good.

The website is already built, shortly in the future I'm going to rebuild a D6 UC2 Site and import products, but for now I need to do this on d5.

Thanks,
Justin

I'm using D6/UC2. I am looking at the path above and I don't see where to set the default image. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

default product image

ubercart 2

uber-site.com/admin/content/node-type/product/fields/field_image_cache

Look for the default image option. You can upload a default image here and turn it on or off.

Having the same issue

I have modified the default image as stated above but the image only shows when I display using a view. The default catalog grid and node display still don't show anything. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Having the same issue

I'm having the same issues as dtesenair.

I've been "Googling" for the past half hour and still not found any solutions to this apart from maybe a template file but that should not be neccessary, this functionality should be part of the module.

Has anyone else found a solutions to this?
