Hello,

UC - 6.x-2.0-rc3
Store Coupons - 6.x-1.1

I've got a client who just started a promotion for free shipping on a product with a coupon code. On the UberCart side everything looks as though it functions perfectly. The shipping costs are subtracted and everything. But once it gets to paypal a 'handling' fee gets applied.

I need to get this figured out ASAP as we already started getting flooded with orders and we are going to have to credit customers back for the shipping costs not to mention the users who will get to paypal and not order because of the increased cost.

Attached is a order totals from ubercart and then from paypal.

Thank you.

Re: Urgent! - Coupon module, paypal handling fee

It looks to me as though UberCart is passing the shipping cost as 'handling' and not as a shipping charge.

How can that be changed?

I know in 5.x the only way to have fees and whatnot get calculated correctly, was to change the PayPal settings in Ubercart to send the order as a "single line item" - that way all of the calculation is done on the Ubercart side.

Give that a shot. It's not the best solution, IMO - this should be made to work both ways.

Thanks...I'll give that a try and see what happens.

That fix at least gets the right amount to paypal.

I would like to see the coupon module integrated into UC with a little bit better functionality like being able to have 'free shipping with a coupon.' As of right now coupons can only reduce the total amount, not remove the actually shipping costs.

Thanks for your help yet again torgosPizza.

The coupon module could defenatly use some work such as sending customer specific coupons with orders, and other automated coupon distribution methods.
