I created a writeable folder called 'keys' and it's the root folder where drupal sits. I know this isn't best practice, but the plesk server allows me to set httpdocs as both mixed SSL and non-SSL.

I set the folder in the ubercart/drupal payment settings as folder 'keys' since it's relative to drupal, and click save, no errors are reported, but nor is any file created in that directory. I checked the server logs, but found no php errors either.

I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong here or how to debug this?

I was also wondering if I use secure pages module and make all admin and checkout pages SSL secure, is it necessary to have this encryption file?

Any tips/advice is appreciated so I can secure this site.

Thanks,
Lu

Re: Having trouble with keys encryption file + folder

The folder with encryption keys needs to be separate from the "public" directory for security.

Did you get ubercart up and running?
