Not sure which forum to post this in:

I'm setting up an art store that will interface with API for another site that does the printing. To complete a sale, I'll need to send user entered data (measurements) and send a get request with that data, open a page in an iframe or another window, then have a landing page from that external page that leads to (or is, the shopping cart). The price of the item won't be known until the landing page (ie. it's dependent on choices on the external page and sent back)

has anyone dome something like this?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
James

does it help if I say this is something I'm willing to pay for?

I haven't done this but think it is doable

I have not specifically solved this type of problem, but I think it is doable.

In your business, will people typically buy more than one product per session? I ask that, and hope its o.k. to suggest this, but you might not need a cart if you are always selling single, custom priced items. You might just need some custom work to integrate the third party service, get the price, and collect the money.

I would love to help, so let me know.

multiple

Naturally I hope people buy as much as possible, and especially since I'll want to implement lower prices for bulk orders with coupon code, i certainly need people have the ability to purchase multiple custom products.

money collection through pay pal.
ordered item would have to remember it's custom choices so it could be seen in the order area.

I'm very eager and excited to get this underway so let me know if this is something you think you could tackle.
