Hi,

I am attempting to set-up PayPal Website Payments Standard and Ubercart 2 but am having issues. I have followed the instructions on the doc/forum pages (http://www.ubercart.org/forum/documentation/3350/updated_paypal_wps_conf... / http://www.ubercart.org/docs/user/3356/configuring_paypal_website_paymen... ) as close as possible (except for workflow module)(and yes I do know it is for Ubercart 1 and not 2, but I cannot find instructions for Ubercart 2).

I am sure PayPal is set-up correctly, but will check (again).

At the moment, I can add items to my cart, go through the checkout, using an email not used with PayPal before, and get taken to PayPal. The page shown just asks me to log-in. There is a link which shows the "create an account" page (see attached).

But I do not want users to have to create an account. I was expecting to see a page asking for my credit card details.

I have checked all the settings, but will check again. In the eman time, two questions:

1. Can anyone suggest what I have done wrong, even if they are basic.
2. Point me to documentation for Ubercart 2.

Regards,
Nick

Hi,

Forgot tosay, on the instructions I linked to it said:

- Make sure that "Instant Payment Notification (IPN)" is not checked.
- Make sure that no IPN URL is set. UC provides this automatically.

I was wondering why the box needs to be empty if IPN is NOT checked.

Same Problem, But No Problem

Hi,

I had the same problem but it turns out to be related to cookies that paypal lays down. If you have already logged into paypal it pretty much makes yo log in again. Try it from a different computer, or clear all your browser cache and cookies.

Hi emptyofwhat,

Thanks for the reply. I have tested that but it just takes me directly to the page I noted in the first post (see attached image on first post). I know I can enter credit card information, but what I do not want it to do is to force users to create a PayPal account.

It is telling me I either need to create an account or login.

Any other ideas?

Hi,

I have now cleared the caches, tried different machines and email addresses, checked and double checked and had someone else double check the paypal settings and nothing.

Can anyone suggest anything or show me what the screen should look like?

Re: Website Payments Standard and Ubercart 2

If anyone has ideas on this, please share.

I set up a site in Dec 2010, and it does not force the customer to create a paypal account.
I set up a different but very similar site now in Jan 2010 and it IS forcing the customer to create an account.

What can I do?

I've checked the settings side by side in both Drupal and PayPal and they appear the same (except for the email used for paypal).
