Hi out there-
2 questions:

How do I process a credit card refund through authorize.net? My customer incorrectly got charged for shipping.

Is there a way to set up shipping quotes differently for retail vs. wholesale customers. I want to give retail customers free shipping on orders over $100, but want my wholesale customers to pay for shipping.

Thanks!

Re: Credit card refunds and customized shipping quotes

Re: Credit card refunds and customized shipping quotes

Hey April, the auth.net module shipping w/ UC is a very basic module. It only allows for processing a transaction as either an authorization or a sale. It doesn't support refunds or even capturing authorized funds to my knowledge. This is mostly because it was converted from another e-commerce system and no one who is using it has been able to contribute back to it or hire someone to work on it.

Refund using Authorize.net

April,
As Ryan says, the authorize.net module can only charge the card. If you need to do a refund, you should be able to log on to authorize.net and do one manually.
Peace,
Andy

Re: Re: Refund using Authorize.net

fwiw, there's nothing that bothers me more than when a business tries to steer me towards a coupon when i simply want my money back. i guess both options are valid but customer should always be able to get their money back / refund (assuming they've returned the item on time, and it's in good condition, etc)
