Hello,

Is there any way to combine flat rate and UPS shipping? I would like the customer to be able to select the speed of the shipping, but to skip the whole quote-getting process. So the customer would always see:

UPS Ground: $5 (or maybe even Free shipping!)
UPS 2nd Day: $10
UPS Next Day: $20

This would then link to the appropriate back-end systems where we can print the right labels and arrange the right speed shipping, etc.

I think that for smaller sized purchases this could be the simplest way to handle shipping, both for us and our customers.

Let me know if this is already possible or would be easy to accomplish...

We did this in a round-about way, by customizing the In-Store Pickup module, as this module can easily be duplicated. We have one instance of the module for each shipping method, and changed the word "hours" in the estimated processing time function to "business days", so it reads for example:

UPS Ground (Please allow 5-7 business days): $5
UPS 2nd Day (Please allow 2-3 business days): $12

so on and so forth.

Does anyone have an easier way to do this?

In Store with Flat Rate

Installed In Store Shipping and it works out just fine. Now to change out some of the text.

Thanks for the idea, I will give this a try. I wonder how hard it would be to add the option of having multiple rates to the flatrate module?
